The "City of Houston" and artifacts

The "City of Houston" went down about 52 miles off the coast of North Carolina in 1878. Her route appeared to be between New York and Galveston, Texas. Somewhere should be the manifest for the contents of the "City of Houston"

I spoke to a diver who dove on the wreck a number of years ago and he reported seeing case upon case of rifles some of which were flintlock. Some names and initials were found on the stocks. It was the divers impression that the rifles may have been used in the War of the Rebellion. I found this hard to believe as the year she went down was 1878. Yet what he described sounded like War era weapons. What would flintlock rifles be doing going from New York to Galveston, Texas in 1878?

If someone could find the manifest for the "City of Houston" perhaps we may find some answers.
