Re: Book on Hubbard's Regiment
In Response To: Book on Hubbard's Regiment ()

My wife's great grandfather, Madison Freeman Price, was a private in Co. I, 22nd Texas Inf., Hubbard's Regiment.
He wrote home to his wife and we have 27 of those letters in our possession telling of some of his exploits and trying to help his wife keep the farm running while he was gone.
The last letter we have is dated December 1863 and we have none after that and have no knowledge of his whereabouts after that - supposedly he and his brother desserted and joined the "Brush Battalion".
I will include the web site to view several of his letters in this e-mail. If interested I will send you the other letters, including the Dec 13, 1863 letter.
Thanks,
Rick Featherston - husband of Alice Jane Hooker Featherston, direct descendant
