The two cannon at the State Capitol are not the Twin Sisters used at San Jacinto. The cannon at the Capitol were presented to the Republic of Texas by Thomas J. Chambers in 1837. Both the Twin Sisters and the Chamber's cannon were sighted in Houston at the end of the Civil War.
