Re: Woods' 36th-32nd Texas Cavalry

I would be interested in how you figured he was in the 36th Texas Cavalry. None-the-less, I believe I've found him in the
17th Texas Infantry along with his friend T. R. Berry.

There was a letter by Thomas R. Berry to a Confederate widow named Minerva Sparks Reed about her husband dying in the Alexandria, LA (Skirmishes, Alexandria, LA in 1864). The person I'm looking for information on is Minerva Sparks Reed's husband. Through doing searches on the World Wide Web, I could only figure out that he was part of the 36th Texas Cavalry.

.....

There were no men on the roster of the 36th Texas Cavalry with the surname Berry.
