OK George do you know what unit of "Texas Guards" these boys enlisted in before the "War of Nothern Agression" My ancestor Adam Reed Bowen also enlisted in a state unit in palestine or Anderson Co. Then when the Civil War broke out it looks like these state troops were merged into CSA Battalions. Am I near correct here?
