Feb. 4--9th moves to Liverpool again this morning & taking position on the bank fire into the loaded transports as they pass (report says killing 5 & wounding 20)--6th Tex left at L[iverpool] as Brig. moves by valley road to Yazoo City & take position with the battery & at night retire--the enemy failing to come up Camp 4M out on the Plank road--25M--sent to train in AM to collect stragglers & regain command of the city--cripple my horse.
