Albert S. Hawkins, CO. C, 1 TEX CAV

Marker in Dallas, TX Cemetery, Grove Hill Memorial Park (view marker at findagrave). The bottom text buried in ground but the marker is grouped near several other Spanish Amer War memorials and looks exactly the same. It says, CO. C., 1 TEX CAV. but when I did a search, I came up with a Civil War Pension index for him in the same named regiment. Is it possible he served in both the Civil War and Spanish American War enlisted in the same group? I'm a little confused. Maybe someone can find more info on him to show exactly what wars he served in. I don't have dates for this man as of yet.

Thank in advance!
