My great great grandfather served in this unit. His name was John Raney Bertrand. He served in 7th Texas Field Battery (Moseley's Co., Light Artillery) Confederate Army--Sergeant. He was born 21 May 1830 in Brazoria Co., TX. Died 23 Nov 1907 near Purmela, Coryell Co., TX. He married Mary Frances Slade Cayce 12-16-1869 at Honey Dell Plantation, Wharton Co., TX.

I have that he served four years, but no other specific information.
