Re: D.B.Thomas CSA Texas Soldier?

Maybee George..The Dennis B.Thomas Im trying to identify would have been 31-35 at that time.We need that fellows age in Bourland's Regiment.

I did find Good's,"Cannon Smoke" book and that D.B.Thomas in Dallas was listed only on two early rosters of the Battery dated March 12,1859 and Feb.22,1861.Good's wife Susan says in a letter dated Dec.19th,1861 from Dallas to here husband that Colonel Stone and Dr.Thomas returned from Arkansas. We can assume that Doctor D.B.Stone subsequently became surgeon in Colonel Stones Regiment.

Is interesting that the later Colonels Burford,Darnell and Lt.Colonel Guess were all early in Captain Good's Dallas battery.
