Dickson Hogg, (Surgeon), 1st Regt., Texas Cavalry (McCulloch's) 1st Mounted Riflemen was my great x 3 grandfather. I have been trying to determine if he continued in that capacity when this regiment was incorporated into 8th Texas Cavalry near beginning of the war. Thx in advance! Dave Harper
