1) James Levi Bourland (1862-1905 Duncan OK) and had 11 ch by Mary Eliz. Williams. Both James Levi and Mary E. died young leaving orphans that were sent to an Indian School in McIntosh Co OK. My family has known this James Levi Bourland's family for at least two generations; in fact, my mom and her siblings went to school with his grandchildren.

When Ben's 1st wife and baby died, Ben disappeared leaving little Henry to be raised by relatives of the Oakland (now Madill, Marshall Co OK) area. ..Ben resurfaced ONCE. ..Henry said that when he was about age 18, his dad came by and talked for about an hour. Ben said he had to leave because the law was right behind him and Henry never saw Ben again.

I have studied this James Levi Bourland family for 20 years, including compiling the Williams family history. I just received a response to one of my queries with three key hints, a name and two places. Yes, the informant said that his parents lived in Madill OK. Yeah! This is news to Henry Bourland's (1858-1929) large family who had no idea that Henry had two half-brothers.
