I am trying to identify a CDV of a man dressed in civilian clothes with a backmark of Lone Star Gallery, F W Bartlett, Tremont St., Galveston, Texas that dates ca. 1866. The image was purchased on an estate sale in North Carolina in an album with other Confederate soldiers from Athens, Ga. The album belonged to Major Marcellus Stanley who was with the Troupe Artillery, Cobb's Legion. My question is if there is any record or knowledge of the Lone Star Gallery and what years that it may have operated.
