I am searching for information on an ancestor, Capt. John J. McBride, Co. C, 5th Texas Infantry. I have reaearched the "easy" methods, and have acquired a fair amount of good information. However, I'm still searching for more, especially access to any wartime portrait of Capt. McBride.
