I am working on my family history and am looking for any information on my GGrandfather James Jamison. I have information that had him with the 15th Texas Infantry, Co. I. I also have information that he was with Colonel Joseph Bates regiment. Family stories have him serving in Colonel Speight's Company under General John B. Magruder in Galveston. I know that my Grandmother was a member of the U. D. C. and her certificate reads that James Jamison served in Company Louis Stroble, Col. Bates Regiment C.S.A. I have searched for his name on all of the Infantry Musters but have had no luck finding him. Can anyone give me any suggestion on how to further my search?
