The Masonic Grand Lodge of Texas Community Builder Award was bestowed upon Joyce Whitis of Huckabay at the annual community homecoming June 13th and 14th. The award was given to Joyce in recognition of her contributions to the community and the county through her years of service as a teacher, her writing and her efforts to preserve history and work to benefit the community.

Members of the Hannibal Masonic Lodge presented the award to Joyce on Saturday evening during the program at the Tabernacle. Pictured with Joyce and her trophies are lodge members, Don Browmwell, Former State Senator Bob Glasgow and Bunny Owen.
