The D. McCracken listed in the roster of the 25th is Daniel. The only David I found was in the 5th Texas Infantry.

David McCracken enlisted as a Private in Company H, 5th Texas Infantry at Polk County,/Liberty County, Texas August 20, 1861, severely wounded in both legs May 6, 1864 in the Battle of the Wilderness, captured April 6, 1865 at Farmville, Virginia, transferred to prison camp at Newport News, Virginia, subscribed to Oath of Allegiance to the US June 16, 1865 listing his residence as Polk County, Texas
