Grannys who got denied pensions....

without enough proof and....... pension fraud ????

Reason I ask...... I cant find my GGG grandfather's service info, BUT, Granny applied for a pension for him after she moved to California and she was in her late 60's 70's. She states from the copy of the app that he rode with Puckett's Gurley's and then she put down that he was in the Union. Something else is that her son was with her when she went and applied. There's one story/lore that he rode with a unit that went west into N.M.

In his household was living a 1/2-step brother and he rode with Company F 12th Texas Calvary. They lived in Midlothian Texas. IMO it seems very unlikely that he was in the Union being they lived there in Texas for 40 yrs. I also find it interesting that who ever took the application didn't just deny her right on the spot as she didn't have any info on him and that that she wrote canceled each other out.
