Gurley's 30th TX Cav; TX 1st Partisan Rangers

George Martin,
.
I am trying to understand an implication in your posting: "30th Regiment, Texas Cavalry (Gurley's Regiment 1 Texas Partisans)" that is reproduced toward the bottom of this page.
.
Do you have a definition analogous to the article below from my 1,046-page book that defines the "Texas 5th Partisan Rangers"?

.
5th Partisan Rangers
formed from
10th Cavalry and 9th Cavalry Battalion Partisans
.
On February 6th 1863 at Fort Washita, I.T. Brig-General Albert Pike consolidated the 10th Texas Cavalry Battalion (commanded by Colonel L.M. Martin) and the 9th Texas Cavalry Battalion Partisans (commanded by Major John L. Randolph) to form the 5th Partisan Rangers. The commanders of these new 5th Partisan Rangers were Colonel L.M. Martin, Lt-Colonel Wm. M. Weaver and Major Wm. N. Mayrant. Martin’s 5th Partisan Rangers Regiment participated in several skirmishes and battles primarily in the Indian Territory and the Northern Sub-District of Texas.

Quoting George Martin:
Only one card is present in the CSRs for Pvt. John W. Clanton, 30th Regiment, Texas Cavalry (Gurley's Regiment 1 Texas Partisans), and that of a list of persons ". . . now at Fort Bowie, Arizonia Territory, enroute to California, who formerly belonged to the Confederate States Army dated September 3, 1865. He is listed as 24 years old, of General Ganos Brigade, General Parsons Division serving in Texas. Under remarks "Organization broken up, men deserted."
