It was a realy good day for the event. About 40 reenactors took part, the 1st Texas camped out overnight. Infantry drills, musket volleys, and lots of talking with spectators. A cold front blew through during the day, making the wool uniforms more useful. ;-) Next year, look for an even bigger event, maybe with some street skirmishes.
Galveston still has a long way to go for recovery, there is a lot of progress so far.
