The Texas in the Civil War Message Board

Fort Bowie, Arizona Territory in Sep 23, 1865

CORRECTION: .. Evidently "Sep 3, 1865" in the CSRs should have been "Sep 23, 1865."
.
QUESTION: ..I am searching for the listing referenced in at least three (3) Confederate service records as: "a list of persons . . . now at Fort Bowie, Arizonia Territory, enroute to California, who formerly belonged to the Confederate States Army dated September 3, 1865. He is listed as ... Regiment, serving in Texas. Under remarks 'Organization broken up, men deserted'."
.
A facsimile of the following Sep 23, 1865 letter plus the background information on my questions are presented on:

I am grateful to the staff at the Fort Bowie National Historic Site, Bowie AZ 85603 who sent this important Sep 23, 1865 letter.
.
Now, I have to try to learn about this "Major Alfred, Provost Marshal of San Francisco CA in Sep 1865" with the accompanying stack of completed "Oath of Allegiance" forms. I've exhausted my skills in searching the OFFICIAL RECORD, censuses, and Google, so any help would be appreciated, and followed. Found nothing on this "Major Alfred." ..Again, my question is further explained on:
