Of the name Mortin, I remember nothing relating to the 31st. Will find my note disk and see if I had ever had anything on him related to the 31st. Hardiman's 1st was miss aligned with the 31st some place. The two regiments served in the same division on one operation. Later about 1864, Major Looscans was appointed temporary commander, of the 31st during one battle. It confuses everything. Will check and see what I have. This was some research on Lt Tivy of Company A, 31st who was one of the founding fathers of Kerr County, TX, and Kerrville. Bill Nolan
