I am trying to locate siblings and parents of Marvel Helton Sr. He was born in 1780 in NC, however during my research I found that the westerly portion of NC, shortly after the revolutionary war became the State of Franklin in 1784, later to become Spencer County, TN then Hawkins County, TN which it remains today, so he may have been born in what is now Hawkins. If he wasn't born in Hawkins, he came there very early, he married Agnes Aggy unkwn in 1803 in Hawkins and they had 13 children beginning in 1804 and remained there their entire life. I have been looking at Agam Carr Helton as being a possible brother of Helton, but I do not have documentation. Does anyone know of Marvel Helton? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
