I am looking for information on Pvt. Charles Point, Company A, 57th Regiment, Ohio Volunteer Infantry. I believe my great, great grandfather may have been a patient and/or worked at the Cumberland Hospital around the first part of 1864. I have a copy of an official leave granted to him on January 26, 1864 stating that he is to rejoin the Cumberland Hospital in 15 days. Is there a way to get information about why he was there, how long, etc.? Is there a specific place where I can get more information about him?
