Final Call for Daniel Ellis Information

Comrades -

I am in the final weeks of the biography of Daniel Ellis that I have been working for about as long as I can remember. Over the last seven years I have posed several questions as I have tried to ferret out information (and may even yet again, despite the subject line), and I have answered queries as I have been able.

Here is one final call on the list for any "hidden" information that any of you might be willing to share -- letters, images, diaries, articles, stories, or so forth (including you, Martin Carmack, if you're out there). I am trying to round up all those things that will turn up after the book is published. My list of most pressing questions has been added to my website, FYI.

As a separate project -- which may or may not be part of the book -- I am compiling a list of names of individuals guided by Ellis through the mountains to the Union lines. Please let me know of names of which you may be aware.

Any assistance is appreciated; feel free to share this with anyone.

Thanks to All,

Allen
