The Tennessee in the Civil War Message Board

Re: 39TH TENNESSEE MOUNTED INFANTRY

His file contains correspondence between the Adjutant General, War Department and the Oklahoma Board of Pension Commissioners re his military service which do not contain adverse comments.

His CSR file also show he returned to his regiment following Vicksburg and accompanied his command into the Shenandoah Valley campaign of 1864.

Do his pension papers indicate cause of rejection? I would assume he must have been "too well off", that is, not indigent.
