Arthur M. Rutledge, Captain, 1st Tennessee Artillery Corps., commissioned May 13, 1861, in command of a Light Battery at Knoxville and Jackboro,

The Tennessee Artillery Corps was formed in August, 1861, of all the Tennessee Artillery which was in the service at that time, but it appears to have been discontinued in May, 1862, when the 1st Regiment Tennessee Heavy Artillery was organized and an attempt was made to form the 1st Regiment Tennessee Light Artillery
