My great-grandfather; Robert Allen enlisted in Lawrence County Tennessee in 1861, by John D. Ives, this company was formed by the consolidation of the 54th Regiment TN INf with the remains of (Voorhies) and other Regiments. I sent to the NARA for information and received infomation that he was in the Columbus Mississippi Hospital 15 May 1862 untill he died April 1862. There is not much information out there on this Regiment. Robert is buried in the Friendship Cememtery Lowndes Co, MS. I found him on the Find A grave after
I had information on his death.
