My gr-gr-grandfather is believed to have been in Neely's 14th TN Cav. (somtimes listed as 13th). Living in Hardeman County, TN in 1860. His brother, William H. (Henry) Bryant was also a Confederate veteran. In "Tennesseans in the Civil War" I find a James A. and a William Bryant both in Co. C, 13th Tn Cav. I think these are the brothers from Hardeman County. How do I find out if these are my ancestors? I have little to go on.
