I am not sure how there can be a legal moonshine still but if there is a will there is a way. You might want to check out a "Savage Conflict" by Donald Southerlanf from UNC Press. Sutherland discuss both CSA and Unionist partisans. My poor state of Calif can still produce top of the line beer so I will stick with that for now but if I was deer hunting in Tenn I might try a very small sip .
