I was hoping someone could help me with some info on this man...according to ancestry and the CWSS, he was in Thomas's N.C Legion and the !st Tn Cavalry CSA, they list him as Gor. H. and Gov. H. as well. George is my G.G.G Grandfather, I believe he was born 1836 in Virginia, lived in Jefferson Co, in 1850, and 1860 married Julia Grant. Ancestry said a widows pension was applied for in 1877 when he died.
