I'm trying to locate infantry units that were posted near Benton, TN along the Occoee and Hiwassee Rivers. I'm aware that Colonel Eli Long's Federal Cavalry Brigade camped near Columbus, located a few miles north of Benton, but am not familiar with infantry units that came throught the area. Thanks!
