John Trezevant, age 20, Private, Company A, 4th Tennessee Infantry, enlisted in Captain James Somerville's Company, 4th Regiment Tennessee Volunteers**, enlisted May 15, 1861 at Germantown by Gen. Carroll for one years unless soooner discharged, wounded (severely in neck and leg) at Shiloh April 6 & on sick leave since April 12, 1862, recorded as "Absent, wounded" on the June 30, 1862 muster roll, still unfit for service the end of February, 1863, "Discharged July 25, 1863 on account of gunshot wound received at Shiloh Apr. 6. Dropped from roll,"
signs for a receipt of clothing on May 11, 1863 as Jno. T. Trezevant Jr."

** This company subsequently became Company A, 4th Regiment Tennessee Infantry

Grays) 4th Regiment Tennessee Volunteers May 20, 1861 at Randolph by Captain Somerville for one year unless sooner discharged, promoted to Lieutenant in Col. Walker's Reg. T. V. May/June,1862, [His file contains two letters written by his father, J. T. Trezevant, recommending his appointment as an officer]

M. B. Trezevant, 3rd Lieutenant, Company C, 40th (Walker's) Tennessee Infantry,
marked present April 5, 1862, one card states "See P. P. of J. T. Trezevant, Ord. Off.," no further records

Maye B. Trezevant, age 20, 2nd Lieutenant, (2nd) Company E, 42nd Tennessee Infrantry, appointed March, 1862, recorded the end of December, 1862 as "Detached," transferred on April 2, 1863, transferred because of health reasons to Ordnance Dept., Charleston, S. C., May 20, 1863 [His file consists of some 68 cards, including one or more letters of recommendation from his father]]
