The speaker for the March meeting of the Franklin CWRT (Sunday March 14 at 3 pm) will be Peter Cozzens. He will speak on the importance of the Western Theater in determining the outcome of the war. Cozzens is the author of 16 critically acclaimed books on the Civil War and the Indian Wars of the American West. All of his books have been selections of the Book of the Month Club, the History Book Club, and/or the Military Book Club. Readers of this message board will be familiar with his: "This Terrible Sound: the Battle of Chickamauga" and "The Shipwreck of Their Hopes: the Battles for Chattanooga", which were chosen by Civil War Magazine as among the 100 greatest works written on the war. The Round Table meets at the Williamson County Public Library in Franklin, TN. The meetings are open free to the public.
