I have now written a brief and correct biography of Captain William Eugene Yeatman of the 2nd Tennessee Infantry, to counter the totally incorrect version placed on a web site by one Jim Gray, at www.acwv.info, and who is well known for fudging the facts about these veterans or non-veterans whom he claims are veterans of the Civil War buried in Australia and New Zealand. Unfortunately Mr. Gray has now published all these, including at least ten percent or more of the biographies which are inaccurate or completely incorrect, in a volume, and I feel very sorry for those who purchase this volume.
My correct biography of William Eugene Yeatman, based on proper documentation (which Mr. Gray seems unwilling to obtain for several reasons to support his "research" work), can now be viewed at the link shown below.
I have already written and corrected about ten other incorrect biographies shown on Mr. Gray's pages, and will be working on about a dozen more in the coming months. However, I will always ensure proper documentation is included to support my final conclusions.
