Greg, if you look into most national cemeteries there are nothing but Union soldiers.... most confederates weren’t really considered as citizens at the time so most of the time they just had mass burials of the remains.... but I am doing research on this subject at the moment for a grant and I can tell you all soldiers that were disinterred from the Collierville area are laid to rest at Memphis National Cemetery.... from my research I have a bit of information so feel free to email me if you would like more....
