Confederate Circle Evergreen Cemetery

I was in Tennessee last week to visit the Confederate Circle, Evergreen Cemetery,in Murfreesboro. My GG Grandfather, 2nd Lt Benjamin H Russell is buried in a mass grave there. Mr. James Patterson helped me in getting the headstone and placing it for me. I appreciate it so much. I live in Texas and it would have been impossible for me to do everything involved in getting the headstone and having it put down. I can never thank Mr Patterson enough.
I felt complete peace as I bowed my head in silence prayer knowning that my Grandfathers remains were within that circle. He was 39 years old when he was killed on Dec 3l, l862. He left behind a wife and 6 little children. After l45 years he finally has a headstone and flowers.
I spent all day touring the battlefields of Stones River. It was such a wonderful experience. I hope to return again.
