My info says my gg grandfather, Nathan Greer's brothers, William J. and Lee (Leonidas) Carris were in 9th TN Cavalry, Captain Vernon Bibb's Co @ enlistment, mostly from Hickman Co. They were in Gantt's Co. during Ft. Donelson siege and evaded capture. I read that Gantt drew Forrest's ire over not following orders? Anything you may know about the 9th would be awesome.
