Confederate Guerillas in East TN

Looking for information about the activities of and the soldiers in an unofficial Confederate guerrilla unit known as Capt. Thomas H. Osborne's Scouts, after Capt. Osborne's death the unit was known as Capt. Lafayette Jenkins' Scouts.

Since this was not an official CSA unit there was no roster or list of engagements. Osborne's Scouts in mentioned in the Official Records only a couple of times and Capt. Jenkins is said to have joined Gen. Joseph Johnston for the surrender near Greensboro, NC.

I am hoping that other researchers might have found mention of this East TN guerrilla unit while researching their ancestors. Any information or clues would be appreciated.

Thank you
Dan
