* This company subsequently became Company F,16th (Neal’s) Battalion Tennessee Cavalry

** The next surviving muster roll for Company F is that for the period May 1 to Dec. 31, 1864. As none of these men are listed, it would indicate they had been dropped from the rolls sometime in the intervening period. This could have been for discharge, desertion, capture, transfer, exchange, etc.
