My gg grandfather, Robert Lee Williams, of Dyer County served in Bradford's Battalion (and the 6th TN. Cav.) of union cavalry. His brother, William F. Williams, was a unionist who was "accidentally shot and killed" during the war. He also served in the union cavalry.

What I'm wondering is if the William F. Williams listed as serving in the following units are all the same man:

Bradford's Battalion, Company B and D.

1st regiment West Tennessee Cavalry, Co. I

6th Tennessee Cavalry, Co. E

7th Tennessee Cav., Co. C

14th Tennessee Cav., Co. A

A search of "William F. Williams" on the cwss gave the above results. All the same man ?
