Your information about George M D Haislip is the same as what I have. I don't know what the initials stand for, nor where he's buried. He is my ex's 3rd great grandfather. I'm not convinced that the George who married Elizabeth Bunch in Virginia is the same man as the George in Tennessee. The 1850, 1860, and 1870 censuses show him born in Tennessee. It's possible they're the same man, but I need to see something else to connect them. IF you have more information, I'd like to see it.
