Zollicofffer, Tennessee ( present-day Bluff City )

On Oct 19, 1863 a severe skirmish was fought there. Elements of the Union 8th TN Cavalry were put to flight. A number of Union troops were captured. Two of them were the grandfathers of my paternal grandmother. Both later died in prison at Danville, Virginia. There are no reports on the fight in the OR. Is there any info out there as to the Officers and other commands involved ? Seems I recall reading that Witcher's 34th Virginia Battalion was involved on the Confederate side. Daniel Ellis wrote a lot about them. Does anyone know if that's correct ?
