I came across the "charge sheet" for a citizen of Mongomery Co.Tenn. Who was charged transporting contraband{whiskey} from Federal lines into Confederate lines.
He was arrested on April 25th,1863 and sent to Fort Donelson.
The whiskey was being conveyed to Hickman Co. to sell/barter for cotton.
The witnesses listed were from Dickson Co.
The charges were preferred by Wm. R. Camans(Camaus) Lt.+ Provost Marshal of the 5th Iowa Cavalry.
I'am interested in finding out the lastname of this Provost Marshal; i can't find anything
on him.
