Yes, I'm probably reaching. I have noticed that a few of my ancestors had children on a regular basis up until the war, and also not long after. There is an absence of children born during war years. During the war I imagine children were more likely to not survive, or it could be a simple case of folks realizing that it was a bad time to have children.
