I never did find a smoking gun in regards to your query, but then again I quit working on it when no one responded. Now that I know you're interested, I'll do some more. Stay tuned. Probably some of these smarter fellows on this board (I'm about the dumbest one around) will fix you up while I'm still rooting in the mud, but that's great, also.
The deal with the horse pedigree was it showed that "Scott's Louisiana Cavalry" was at the Clarksville fair grounds, but right after the fall of Donelson.
