I'm a short time participant in this message board and
a Confederate by birth.

I agree with you about Memphis but not about the future of
OUR Heritage in Memphis.
I know too many proud Southerners that are digging in for the
long haul.
Our detractors have had to re-evaluate their position which in turn has led to a loss
of credibility.
What they are finding out is that the same Heritage Pride that played a PIVOTAL
ROLE in obtaining the SCV Heritage License Plates (auto & cycle) is rallying to the
Parks Defense.
The Plate issue was defeated in the late 1990's when it was first presented.
The "Boys" didn't give up and SCV 1 was issued in 2004.
I'm reminded of the shirt with the frog halfway down the crane's gullet ...
DON'T GIVE UP! DON'T EVER GIVE UP!!
