Thank you for answering my post, however I'm afraid you have totally misconstrued my meaning. Or perhaps, I just wasn't clear enough.
I have participated regularly on this board for many years now, and would have just assumed that my Confederate research and Confederate stance was obvious to other posters. But, I guess not.
I was born and raised in Memphis and have experienced first hand countless episodes of "remove the statue." I abhor the idea and the further contortion of history to accommodate the few. Only recently, the city council resolved to rename a 3 parks with any connection to the Confederacy

My contention was, and is, that as the city is now largely black, it seems that such removals, re-namings, etc, etc are becoming more inevitable than ever before.
I hope such will not be the case, but years of observing similar attempts make me skeptical of reversing the current trends of society.
Please let me know if you still do not understand my position, and I will make an attempt at further clarification.
