Yes, I would love any information you have on C.V. Cyrus!

I emailed the Maury County Archives and got the following info. Have not found any reunion info but looks like C.V. Cyrus either ran to be in state legislature or ran to be a delegate - still trying to sort out the newspaper articles. The Archivist email is below and perhaps might be of interest to others. Carla

Yes, there absolutely should have been an article in the paper. While we cannot search through the paper for you, especially without a date, you are in luck. The library of congress has digitized many of our newspapers and they are online and searchable for free. Go to http://chroniclingamerica.loc.gov/ and click on the advanced search tab near the top. Go to the select newspapers section and scroll down to the C’s looking for The Columbia Herald (Columbia Tenn) and click on the second entry (it is the later newspapers and covers the time frame you are asking about). Once you have clicked on that one, go down to Enter Search and the box for “…with any of the words” and enter Cyrus and then click search. It will arrange your searches by relevance but you can easily change the drop down menu to “by date” and look that way.
