J. Lawrence, Cook, Capt. E. W. Lloyd’s Company, 25th (Eutaw) Regiment South Carolina Vols.*, enlisted February 24, 1862 at Charleston by Lt. Russell for the war, absent sick August 26, 1864, remaining so through October, 1864,** no further records

* This company subsequently became Company B, 25th (Eutaw) Regiment South Carolina Infantry

** Note, there are no further bi-monthly muster rolls for Company B found in the records where the regiment was stationed near Richmond, Va. Hence, we cannot ascertain his later service.
