In Response To: camp gregg ()

I came across a record for Company E, 3rd Regiment South Carolina Volunteers that their station on 13 Sep 1861, or possibly most of Sep 1861, was at Flint Hill (Flinthill) [Baptist] Church, Camp Gregg, near the town of Whitmire in Newberry District (became Newberry County as I understand the District/County name change occurred in 1868), South Carolina. I was reearching an individual in Company E, 3rd Regiment South Carolina Volunteers on Fold3.com (formerly Footnote.com) and the image read: for Sept 1861; STATION: Flint Hill Church, Camp Gregg. A quick search of both Flinthill Church and Newberry County indicates that Flint Hill (Flinthill) Church is in Newberry County, South Carolina. This particular record is at the following address: http://www.fold3.com/image/#73408899

I do not know if this is the specific Camp Gregg, South Carolina for which you are looking.

Respectfully,
Mike
